When Oakley rolled out the game changing & revolutionary Prizm™ lens Technology in 2014, they set a whole new standard in eyewear yet again, but didn't stop there! The Prizm™ lens Technology took engineers over 15 years to develop & enhance, consistently consulting with the SOF community. The primary focus was to design, create and implement a frame & lens that could enhance contrast and visibility all the while relieving eye fatigue that would help an operator or professional address conditions & targets better. The challenge was achieving all this with additional requirements like protection from explosive fragments as well as harmful infrared lasers.

Oakley introduced Prizm™ Technology lenses in the M Frame 3.0 Ballistic Series concentrating mainly on Military and Law Enforcement operations and marketed the revolutionary technology for both range activities as well as patrol duties. The debut of this evolutionary technology was an instant hit creating a "WOW" factor amongst all communities. Considering engineers set out to create a lens that helps put less strain on the human eye and enhance contrast in all environments and make targets easier to acquire within a wide spectrum of light conditions, this technology not only services the needs of Tactical & Military communities, but can and is now being marketed to a wide array of sports & outdoor activities. 2015 has been a ground-breaking year for Oakley where Prizm™ Technology has been incorporated into multiple Oakley Frames and Series, offering other markets this unique technology that enhance contrast in environmental conditions like trails, roads, lakes & rivers, grass fields and snow slopes, so whether you're a hiker, mountain biker, race car driver, fisherman, hunter or snowboarder, Oakley Prizm™ has you covered. 

As if this wasn't enough, Oakley is now introducing the all new Tombstone Series which will incorporate the revolutionary Prizm™ lens Technology and accomplish something that's never been designed or seen before. The Tombstone's groundbreaking design has no physical frame which assisted engineers in creating a new shaped lens to maximize the field of view, eliminate all obstructions in peripheral vision and provide complete eye protection with operators and shooters in mind, offering the user the ability to interchange lenses based on environmental conditions quickly & easily. These new lenses are ballistic rated and offered in single lens, two lens array or even a three lens array depending on the requirements of the user. The ear piece on both sides was custom-designed to be "quick-detachable" assisting in an easy release from the lenses themselves, providing the user a quick and easy method in changing lenses based on various changing conditions. Whether spending the entire day on the range or in the field, or you find yourself in a stressful and ever changing environment, you can "swap" your lenses quickly & easily without losing time demounting lenses from a frame and consistently worrying about potentially breaking or smudging your lenses in the field.
